20 April 2025The Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDD/CS3D), published on 5 July 2024, marks a major turning point in the regulation of business practices in the European Union.
It establishes a harmonised legal framework to promote sustainable and responsible business behaviour throughout the value chain.
CS3D imposes two main obligations on companies: a risk-based duty of care and the development of a climate change mitigation transition plan. The duty of care requires companies to put in place a comprehensive process to identify, assess and manage adverse social and environmental impacts. CEPOVETT is taking advantage of this ambition to strengthen its responsible purchasing charter towards greater resilience, circularity, equity, inclusiveness and protection. For several years now, the company has been auditing its factories to ensure that its activities and those of its stakeholders are traceable in terms of social, ethical and environmental standards.
