Reforestation programme renewed until 2026

The ambitious Madagascar reforestation programme, which CEPOVETT/ EPSILON is involved in, has been renewed until 2026.
40,000 trees are planted every year through this partnership, including 10,000 high added value trees on the lands of 52 partnerfarmers in 2022. An awareness programme was concurrently rolled out for 1,291 children from the municipality. Its goal: to teach young generations - and future farmers - to protect their environment. EPSILON also called on its "Green Team" in Akamasoa to introduce its employees to sustainable development challenges and, at the same time, to invite them to take part in a green activity to strengthen bonds within the teams. Moreover, in 2022, a new initiative was introduced to the project with the creation of a field school for sharing best farming practices, attended by 8 partner farmers. Trees are monitored by local operator Bôndy for a 5-year period.
