Restoring mangroves in Madagascar
20 April 2025Flax reduces the environmental footprint
20 April 2025As global warming accelerates, it is becoming urgent for all economic players to measure the carbon impact of their activities and take action.
The Bilan Carbone TM methodology, a diagnostic tool initiated by ADEME (the French Environment and Energy Management Agency), is used to account for greenhouse gas emissions (scope 1) and indirect greenhouse gas emissions (scopes 2 and 3) emitted by companies. Using this method, CEPOVETT has identified that 99% of its CO2 emissions come from the activities of its suppliers (scope 3). With this in mind, the Group is working hand in hand with its partners to reduce the impact of products throughout the value chain. The decarbonisation trajectory is part of a Climate 2030 action plan, aimed in particular at optimising energy consumption and developing renewable energies in production units, from fibre to product. In this way, the CEPOVETT group is continuing to integrate low-carbon and recycled materials into its collections, and is raising awareness and supporting its employees in adopting more responsible modes of transport (car pooling, soft mobility, etc.).
