17 April 2025Eurostar in dialogue with its stakeholders
In order to share its sustainable development commitments, the Eurostar rail company invited a representative panel of external stakeholders, including its uniform supplier CEPOVETT, to its Brussels headquarters to discuss the challenges and priority actions to be taken in order to remain aligned with the expectations of its ecosystem and the obligations in terms of sustainability reporting.
After carrying out a risk analysis demonstrating that stakeholders were key players in reducing Eurostar's environmental footprint, the company opened a dialogue with its partners to identify solutions and areas for improvement on societal and environmental issues (material topics). In particular, by promoting circularity in its purchasing, for example with the use of recycled materials in its professional clothing or the recycling of its old uniforms.
A roadmap will be published in Eurostar's CSR report, which will be distributed to its shareholders. The Group's ESG strategy is measured by extra-financial indicators and deployed in a concrete, long-term action plan.
In 2023, the Group became the first railway company to join the BR100. This project brings together more than 400 ambitious companies, aiming to produce 100% of their electricity from renewable energies.
