At a time when water represents such a vital resource for mankind, the Tunisian manufacturer VTL, which includes several textile production facilities (knitwear, dyeing, printing, finishing treatments, silk-screening, tailoring, bleaching and textile finishing) and employs a workforce of 6,000, has set itself apart through its exemplary environmental practices, such as the use of a water reprocessing plant and the treatment of effluents. The site benefits from electrolysis technology - reverse osmosis - for desalination, with CO2 injection. This is one of the best solutions for recycling up to 90% of wastewater and was designed and implemented by the company's teams without the use of chemicals. Alongside this facility, the company, which makes regular investments in its production equipment, has been working on a project to collect rainwater from roofs and roads, storing it in a reservoir and then reintroducing it into the supply network.
VTL is also in the process of setting up a forest of solar panels to produce electricity, with the goal of meeting around 50% of its needs in the first phase of the project.
