EPSILON is stepping up its energy roadmap by producing its own solar energy in Madagascar. Since 2020, CEPOVETT's subsidiary has been installing "OnGrid" solar panels, with 912 300 KWp panels covering an area of 1,700 m2. In 2022, it added a further 1,200 panels with a capacity of 500 KWp over an area of 2,444 m2. These 800 KWp solar power installations currently provide around 40% of its energy needs which represents a significant economic gain for the company. Production during non-working hours is fed back into the national grid of the country's electricity supplier (JIRAMA). In the future, EPSILON hopes to become 100% self-sufficient. And with good reason. Despite the introduction of the New Electricity Policy (NPE 2015-2030) aimed at providing electricity to 70% of households and an energy mix made up of 80% renewable energies by 2030, the Madagascan population is still suffering long periods of power cuts. Power station output is still not sufficient to meet all the country's energy needs
