In a textile sector that has experienced huge job losses over the last twenty years and has been shunned by young people who deem it not attractive enough continuing training is of key concern in ensuring the sector continues over the long term. With this in mind, professionals are rallying to provide technical skills to young people themselves with seasoned employees passing on their knowledge, know-how and other "tricks" of the trade. Through its CEPOVETT ACADEMY programme, CEPOVETT Group develops the skills of its own employees and coordinates the transmission of know-how and expertise between experienced staff and young hires, in particular apprentices. By initiating a mentoring approach, everyone has the opportunity to take part in training courses, some of which lead to qualifications, and which cover all sector trades. By rolling out this integrated training programme, CEPOVETT stands out as a player in reindustrializing the textile industry in France and is involved in relocating the sector, whilst creating new opportunities and inspirations.
